La entidad tambi\u00e9n describe el momento en el que Alfredo Guill\u00e9n anunciaba esta decisi\u00f3n: &#8220;nuestro presidente, movido por la profunda implicaci\u00f3n de Gertru en nuestras fiestas y su inquebrantable pasi\u00f3n por Torrevieja, sus tradiciones y, en especial, por nuestra hoguera, le propuso en vivo este ilusionante encargo, que fue aceptado con entusiasmo por la propia Gertru&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Desde la Asociaci\u00f3n han querido destacar y agradecer &#8220;su constante apoyo, su cercan\u00eda y su voz siempre dispuesta a engrandecer nuestras fiestas. Estamos &#8211; dice &#8211; convencidos de que su papel como Mantenedora ser\u00e1 inolvidable y que viviremos junto a ella momentos \u00fanicos que quedar\u00e1n grabados para siempre en nuestra historia&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p>Y cierra el comunicado reiterando el orgullo de contar con una torrevejense &#8220;tan comprometida y apasionada como Gertru
