<\/a> El concejal de Educaci\u00f3n, Ricardo Recuero, y el director de la Sede de la Universidad de Alicante (UA) en Torrevieja, Jes\u00fas Segarra-Saavedra, han presentado en la ma\u00f1ana de hoy dos talleres que ser\u00e1n impartidos por la <\/span>neurocient\u00edfica Mar\u00eda Luisa Molina Gallego.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

El pr\u00f3ximo martes, 11 de febrero, se celebra el D\u00eda Internacional de la Mujer y la Ni\u00f1a en la Ciencia. Por este motivo, desde la Sede de la UA en colaboraci\u00f3n con la Concejal\u00eda de Educaci\u00f3n del Ayuntamiento de Torrevieja se han organizado los <\/span><\/span>talleres \u201cAprende c\u00f3mo funciona nuestro cerebro\u201d<\/span><\/span> y <\/span><\/span>\u201c<\/span><\/span>Descubre c\u00f3mo extraer el ADN de un pl\u00e1tano\u201d<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Los talleres tendr\u00e1n lugar en el <\/span><\/span><\/span>Centro Cultural Virgen del Carmen<\/span><\/span><\/span>, tanto en horario de ma\u00f1ana como de tarde<\/span><\/span><\/span>, el jueves <\/span><\/span>13 de febrero,<\/span><\/span> y tendr\u00e1n una <\/span><\/span>d<\/span><\/span>uraci\u00f3n <\/span><\/span><\/span>de 1 hora distribuida entre los dos talleres (30\u2019 aproximadamente cada taller).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Aprende c\u00f3mo funciona nuestro cerebro <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    En este taller se explicar\u00e1n las partes del cerebro, as\u00ed como algunas de las metodolog\u00edas que<\/span><\/span><\/span> los neurocient\u00edficos utilizan para estudiar el cerebro<\/span><\/span><\/span>, se ver\u00e1n <\/span><\/span><\/span>preparaciones<\/span><\/span><\/span> con ayuda de una <\/span><\/span><\/span>lupa<\/span><\/span><\/span> y <\/span><\/span><\/span>l\u00e1minas de im\u00e1genes reales<\/span><\/span><\/span> obtenidas por cient\u00edficos y cient\u00edficas para conocer el funcionamiento del cerebro, que permiten el desarrollo de terapias para la correcci\u00f3n de patolog\u00edas. Y como ejemplo, la neurocient\u00edfica Mar\u00eda Luisa Molina contar\u00e1 sus resultados de investigaci\u00f3n en la correcci\u00f3n del <\/span><\/span><\/span>S\u00edndrome de Rett<\/span><\/span><\/span>, una enfermedad asociada a retraso mental y <\/span><\/span><\/span>que podr\u00eda ser reversible. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      Descubre c\u00f3mo extraer el ADN de un pl\u00e1tano<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      En este segundo taller se realizar\u00e1 la extracci\u00f3n del <\/span><\/span>ADN de un pl\u00e1tano<\/span><\/span> para conocer uno de los m\u00e9todos m\u00e1s esenciales y utilizados en la investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica. Adem\u00e1s, se hablar\u00e1 del papel de la cient\u00edfica <\/span><\/span>Rosalind Franklin<\/span><\/span> en el descubrimiento de la estructura del ADN.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      Los talleres est\u00e1n dirigidos a <\/span><\/span>escolares y docentes<\/span><\/span><\/span> desde primaria hasta alumnado de Bachiller, a familias y p\u00fablico general. Todos los centros educativos de Torrevieja han sido invitados por correo electr\u00f3nico. El<\/span><\/span><\/span> aforo <\/span><\/span><\/span>por cada grupo ser\u00e1 de<\/span><\/span><\/span> 30 personas<\/span><\/span> y para inscribirse, se debe cumplimentar un formulario.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      Mar\u00eda Luisa Molina Gallego<\/span><\/span><\/span> es doctora en <\/span><\/span><\/span>Biolog\u00eda, neurocient\u00edfica y divulgadora cient\u00edfica<\/span><\/span><\/span> y <\/span><\/span><\/span>licenciada en Biolog\u00eda en la Universidad de Alicante<\/span><\/span><\/span>. Comenz\u00f3 su carrera investigadora en el laboratorio del Dr. Pere Berbel-Navarro del Departamento de Histolog\u00eda de la UA en el Instituto de Neurociencias de Alicante, donde realiz\u00f3 su tesina en el desarrollo de la corteza cerebral en embriones de ratas hipotiroideas. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
